Platforms For Success Issue 10

 There are times in my discussions with others ( in my case it is often my clients )  that I need to take them NOT from A to B, but I need to take them from let's say  A to G.

I have discerned this, but they have not. 

I am sure you have run into similar situations , where perhaps you know something of Wisdom but the person you are trying to help understand does not seem to grasp it or cannot see it. One of the most common complaints ( especially for those of us married ) .. we are just not listening.  OR MORE IMPORTANTLY  " I don't want you to solve my problems, JUST LISTEN !!  Stop talking . "

Perhaps your Significant Other has a grasp on something you need to know and hear ?  Are you ready to receive it ?  I'm going to let you in on a little secret here, some of the MOST Important decisions I have made in my life, were actually made by my spouse. A prime example for us,  the wonderful ( and now super valuable ) home we live in. She could envision it....  me , I was like DUH ? 

That does NOT mean I am advocating you abdicating your proper place in God's family plan. 

Interestingly, that same wonderful girl who is a gift from God has given me love and support I haven't always  deserved. She also gave me a one of the most wonderful compliments I could ever receive when she said " Gee, you really DO listen to your clients ! "   Interestingly, not always the case in our relationship. 

As it has been said  " Sometimes LESS is MORE "  As many of you know, I love golf . I had a wonderful discussion with a dear brother just over the weekend about GOLF !  Shocking.   And we were talking about why we both love golf and it is because golf is a reflection on life. Problems, challenges, techniques. I mentioned the most important thing is " the next shot" .   This is life. What's right in front of you in the present is the MOST Important thing.

Sometimes God wants to take us from A-Z.  Alpha-to Omega ( Z)   The Holy Spirit is a gentleman ..  He is not going to drag us kicking and screaming , although that might be a good idea !

More likely, He is going to take us from A to B to C to D... and all these steps are important. Remember Romans 8:22.  He will works out all things for your good...  

It is the Process that works in us to Perfection. II Cor 5:17   We know that if any man is in Christ, He ( she ) are a new creations, Old things will pass ( and continue to pass ) away, behold !  All things will become new.

Trust the process.

I have a friend...  I know this may be shocking to some of you that I actually have a friend... but I do. I may have actually mentioned him before.  Perhaps you are curious about this friend and you should be... here's why.  This friend is a highly educated professor....who has taught many of the local leaders who stand before you each and every week. Platforms For Success Issue 4

 Today I would like to talk about this idea of VALUE. I have been thinking about this for quite some time and wanted to bring it up for discussion because it is important. Let's look at some ideas concerning value. The value of time.  Here's an old saying " Believe little of what one says, but you can always believe what one does "  Actions, as we all know, are more important that words. So we can see, that we all spend our time according to what we value. Where do you spend your time ?  It will tell you much about yourself.  Maybe we need to re-evaluate and reallocate where we spend our time ?  Just a thought..... As a business guy, I tend to spend quite a bit of time doing what I do best. I am sure you do also.  Perhaps the key here is finding balance.
