Platforms For Success Issue # 9

 If I tell you I am going to give you a monetary gift and I show you a bill rolled up in my hand , what size bill do you think it is ?

I sat in an auditorium for a conference once and the speaker came out a said " if I ask you to think of a number .. what's the first number that pops into your head ? "

Why are these  interesting questions and exercises ?  

How many of you thought of a low number, did anyone think Google ?   How many thought I had a hundred dollar bill in my hand or perhaps ( rare but real ) something larger ?

Every morning I read this passage " The Righteous have many problems, but God delivers us from them all "   Just five minutes ago. God blessed me with the resolution to a problem that I brought before him today.  This problem happened today and our Gracious God resolved it today..... JUST LIKE THAT !

We live in a fallen world full of problems.

Jesus Christ wants to restore you to a place of ABUNDANCE .  In John 10:10 it says that Jesus came to give you life, and yes... more abundantly. 

Often I am asked " How's it going ?"  and I often catch people off with my response , I say  " I am not sure I  deserve to be doing this well ! "

Certainly, we may NOT deserve it, but if we begin to catch a glimpse ..... just a small glimpse of how much our Lord loves us.... I guarantee you will NEVER be the same.

I'm going to give you some action points....

1. When you wake up in the morning, before your feet hit the floor begin to thank the Lord for another amazing day. 

2. Water the garden of your heart in the morning with love and those in your life with love too. When was the last time you said  I love you to your wife, children, grandchildren ?  Make God and your family the Apple Of Your Eye.

3. Be grateful for your ability to work at whatever you do. It is God you gives us the ability to work and earn income. There is HONOR in all work. God will use you wherever you are  planted. 

4. Under NO circumstances, DO NOT Relinquish your position as Child, Son,  Joint- Heir of Jesus Christ.  You Are Amazing.   God has made an  ( big word here ) IMMUTABLE  Covenant which can NEVER be broken.  

Let's stop complaining and start living like God wants us to. He died to restore us to live like no one else.

    This is great. What stuck out to me in all of this is be grateful for the ability to work and earn income. As a man it’s in our DNA to be a provider and to take care of the needs of the family. When a man a decent man, is unable to do so, it can make a man feel less than. So I think God before my feet hit the ground because it truly is an honor.

I have a friend...  I know this may be shocking to some of you that I actually have a friend... but I do. I may have actually mentioned him before.  Perhaps you are curious about this friend and you should be... here's why.  This friend is a highly educated professor....who has taught many of the local leaders who stand before you each and every week. Platforms For Success Issue 4

 Today I would like to talk about this idea of VALUE. I have been thinking about this for quite some time and wanted to bring it up for discussion because it is important. Let's look at some ideas concerning value. The value of time.  Here's an old saying " Believe little of what one says, but you can always believe what one does "  Actions, as we all know, are more important that words. So we can see, that we all spend our time according to what we value. Where do you spend your time ?  It will tell you much about yourself.  Maybe we need to re-evaluate and reallocate where we spend our time ?  Just a thought..... As a business guy, I tend to spend quite a bit of time doing what I do best. I am sure you do also.  Perhaps the key here is finding balance.
